The Northern Michigan Catholic Foundation (NMCF) intends to award a maximum of $50,000 to Catholic schools to support innovative programs designed to engage and retain students and teachers in the school’s Catholic mission. This is broad because we know that Catholic schools have unique ideas and needs that can be supported through this grant. NMCF wants to hear from our schools and learn your ideas to inspire generations of future faithful Catholic leaders.

Ideal grant applications will present a school need that is currently unmet, either because it was cut from funding or is a new idea that has yet to find appropriate funding. Additionally, ideal grant applications will focus on Catholic initiatives within the school. This is a onetime grant available to Catholic schools located in northern Michigan.

Grants will be awarded in June 2021 and are intended for the 2021-2022 school year.

Please feel free to contact Christie Perdue, President at NMCF with any and all questions, 231-922-9070 or [email protected].

In general, NMCF will not fund:

  • Grants directly to individuals, political parties, or for-profit organizations
  • Annual fundraising events or drives
  • Organizations not supported or endorsed by the Catholic Church or not serving an identifiable Catholic population
